Good Noodle Neighborhood's goal is to remind us of who we were when we were younger, and inspire us to be the best version of ourselves. We achieve this through our dedication to promote authentic art and local volunteer opportunities that encourage optimism, honesty and hard work.
The History of Good Noodle Neighborhood
"One of my favorite places when I was younger was a gift shop in the city by my house. Every time I went in there, I remembered who I was when I was a kid, and how much I loved to draw. Every time I left, all I wanted to do was sit down and draw. This place was incredible, but they had a lot of things that encouraged bad / lazy behavior, or were R-Rated. Those things always made young-me feel extremely out of place, and like I didn’t really belong in that shop. I came up with the idea for Good Noodle Neighborhood when I realized that my favorite store in my favorite city could be improved by more than just the things they sell." -Michelle

Michelle finds and purchases all the inventory, handles all orders, and plans, executes and attends all of the Good Noodle events.

Mark is the head of the music department--he makes all of the playlists on our Spotify page. Mark also helps Michelle find Good Noodle books, movies, people, and inventory.

Samira makes sure that the website runs properly and looks right. She also helps Michelle with setting up and selling at the pop up shop and volunteer events.
What Makes Something or Someone a Good Noodle?
Because we can't judge a book the same way we would judge an album, we have different criteria for different categories. .
Art: All of the artwork we sell is PG, original, and inspires a sense of childlike wonder or optimism.
Books: A Good Noodle book is any one that expands the minds intellectual or emotional capacity.
Movies: A Good Noodle movie is any one that expands the minds intellectual or emotional capacity, or takes the viewer somewhere new and good.
Music: A Good Noodle song or album is original, and generally not something you would hear on the radio.
People: A Good Noodle is a person who actively strives to do good. Anyone can be a Good Noodle, no matter who they used to be.
